What *is* going on over there????
I know it is easy to criticise from the safety of "my" own City message board, but WTF??? Fair enough, the owners have had enough of people keep posting non-City related stuff on the board, but locking all of the non-City threads - that's a bit drastic!!!
If you want to guarantee getting fewer Christmas cards and instead having a lot of pissed off messageboard users then that has to be a good way of doing it. I appreciate that the board is supposed to be for City related news/discussion, but what if things are quiet and there *isn't* anything to discuss???
Personally I think the way this has been handled is all wrong. Either the offending posters should be warned (and then banned) if they continue to post unsuitable threads, or there should be another section set up on the same board for non-City posts. If this was to be done then the current and future offending posts could be moved by the mods and everybody would be happy. Easy!
It's a real shame to see "the problem" being dealt with in such a heavy handed way as the board is successful, vibrant and often commented on by other clubs fans as being one of the most interesting in non-league - what a shame to see it being censored in this way.
