Thanks to the very kind offer from Chris Evans at the club, I believe the following announcement is going to be made in this week's Clarets News Round-Up to advertise the new radio project to the general CCFC community.

The Chelmsford City Radio Project

This is an exciting new project to get a brand new digital radio station up and running for the beginning of next season. The aim is to have a similar or better service to the ones that AFC Wimbledon and Margate FC currently offer their fans, with regular match day commentary broadcast live on digital internet radio, along with interviews and podcasts for download.

Currently Chelmsford City radio is at the very early planning stage and we are looking for volunteers to get the "ball rolling" and start creating a basic plan/timetable for the development of the station. Volunteers do not need to have radio/broadcast experience (although it would be a bonus), all we would ask is that you are willing to spend a couple of hours a week helping with various tasks, which will include attending occasional meetings and writing letters/email on behalf of the team. The level of involvement is up to you, but without volunteers the station won't happen, so even if it is in a small way please do offer your help if you possibly can.

To find out more, please go to www.chelmsfordcityfc.co.uk where you will find the new unofficial Chelmsford City message boards including the one for the radio project there.

Thanks,
Phil
