No, the above is NOT acceptable as far as I'm concerned, and regardless of whether or not Prince Harry meant the word to be offensive, it is and should not have been used in any context.

Because the word Paki (like !@*%@%) has been used in this country in the past as a derogatory term in a hateful way, it sadly has a meaning that now goes beyond just being an abrieviated version of Pakistani.
